Handmade jacket from pure Bhutanese Yathra wool. Each piece is unique and exists only once. Drangme Rigpa’, the mystical knot from Bhutan, is one of the eight lucky signs and is used in various abstract forms in traditional Bhutanese textile art. In Bhutanese textile art, patterns & colours are influenced by nature. The four elements of the earth, Sa (earth), Chu (water), Mai (fire) and Lung (air) serve as inspiration for the hand-woven yathras. Tradition says that using the natural colours would bring safety from natural disasters. To protect oneself from this, one has to create a balance with the elements of nature – this is the belief in the traditional textile art. Hand-woven jacket made of 100% Yathra wool (yak & cotton mix) with an inner lining of pure raw silk. Our handmade unique pieces are made in the traditional way by our artist Tschering in Timphu, Bhutan.
