RIOJA CRIANZA VINA AMATE

Description VITICULTURE Situated in the Rioja Baja, this winery source its grapes from local growers. All vines are between 50 and 100 years old and grown at different altitudes and on various soil types to produce wine with complexity. WINEMAKING Made from indigenous grape varieties Malvasia Fina, Verdelho and Encruzado. Maceration and fermentation take place in temperature controlled stainless steel tank to keep the aromaticity. OAK TREATMENT 12 months TASTING NOTE After spending 12 months in oak barrel and another 12 months in bottle before release, this Rioja has a powerful nose with layers of black and red fruits, leading to a fruit driven palate with mineral and gentle oaky notes on the finish. FOOD MATCHING Great with roast meats and of course tapas.
