This is the sweet variety that tastes more like a passionfruit x pawpaw to me. The skin is thick so the fruit fly has no chance to get in. I love to eat this fruit just like that or baked in the oven together with veggies and serve as a side dish. Fantastic for chutney, too. This is a must-have fruit in a subtropical and warm climate food forest. Growing fast so you can expect the first fruit within 2-3 years.The price is for 6 seeds.Planting and growing tips: Start in a pot or tray to ensure success. Keep moist until the seeds sprout. Replant into individual pots when the seedlings got 2-3 leaves. Tamarillo is an easy-to-grow plant, that loves a half-shade and sheltered position and not much watering. Replant into its final position or to a larger pot at the latest when you see some roots coming out of the pot’s bottom holes. The better the soil, the quicker and better it will grow. It doesn’t like to sit in water so a well-drained position is best. All our edibles grow happily and quickly in slightly raised garden beds.Additional notes:The price is for six seeds, coming from my plant, naturally grown in my permaculture food forest.
