While we usually have well-established plants ready, high demand may result in a waiting period.Planting & Growing TipsInitial Care: Upon arrival, give your plant a good drink and place it in a partially shaded, sheltered spot. Allow it to recover from its journey for a few days.Transplanting: Plant into the garden or a large container (like our fantastic grow bags!) when roots begin to emerge from the drainage holes. Water thoroughly immediately after planting.Position: Prefers a sunny spot with very well-drained soil. A slightly raised garden bed is ideal to prevent waterlogging. It will grow in partial shade but produces best in full sun.Feeding: For a bumper harvest, feed with a liquid fertiliser like compost tea or a balanced organic formula during the growing season.Harvesting Leaves: Regularly harvest young leaves and stems to encourage growth. Always cook tubers & leaves (e.g., braised, stir-fried) before consumption.Additional NotesSun Acclimatisation: Our plants are grown in partial shade. Gradually introduce them to full sun over a week before planting in their permanent position.Cooking Tip: Remember, the tubers must be cooked (boiled, baked, roasted) before consumption. They are exceptionally good for their vibrant colour and sweetness.Space Saver Tip: Short on garden space? This variety grows brilliantly in large containers or grow bags.Disclaimer: As with any new food, we recommend you research before consumption.
