Cartuxa EA Red Wine The Cartuxa Winery’s proposal for everyday life and more informal occasions. It was first produced in 1992. Produced from the grape varieties Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Trincadeira and Syrah, planted in the vineyards of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation. When the grapes reach the ideal stage of ripeness, they are harvested and transported to the winery, where the technological process begins with total destemming and light crushing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 24–27ºC. After fermentation, filtration, blending, tartaric stabilization, final filtration and bottling follow.
